The Global Shapers Community is founded on the idea that the future should be shaped by those who will live in it. Young people have an inherent right and responsibility to be involved and engaged in society. This guiding principle, “nothing about us without us”, underpins much of the Community’s work.

The mission Of the Global Shapers Community is clear: to inspire, empower, and connect young leaders, to strengthen their communities, and to effect global Change. 

Established in 2011 by Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community has grown into a network of over 10,000 inspiring innovators, activists, and entrepreneurs.

The Community illustrates the power and potential of young people when they unite around a shared idea and passion, self-organize for impact, and deliver projects for their local communities.
